The BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course provides entry level skills and knowledge to those wishing to develop their proficiency and knowledge in supervision and management.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in managerial and supervisory roles in a range of industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others, apply solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems, analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

The course is provided through Face to Face or Blended mode of delivery. It will be delivered (520 hours) and assessed (40 hours) over 560 hours including theory, self-paced structured e-learning and simulation training.
Full Time: 2 days / week classes with simulation training.
Part Time: 1 day / week classes with simulation training.
Full fee Students: Online Theory with on-campus simulation training.
Students currently working in the industry: Online Theory with on-campus simulation training.
IHNA has in place admission criteria for courses in its scope as required by its ‘Application and Enrolment Procedure for VET Courses’ to ensure that candidates meet industry requirements.
It is also essential for the student to possess basic computer skills.

While IHNA will work with you to make “reasonable adjustments” in the campus lab and classroom, there are work place practice conditions that occur in the workplace environment that are beyond IHNA’s control. Physical requirements like Strength, Mobility, Hearing, Vision and Communication are necessary to function in the healthcare facility and / or community setting. Students must be able to perform and complete course objectives and requirements with or without reasonable adjustments. Our courses cater to a range of candidates. The candidates are required to be physically fit to manage tasks.

Assessment strategies are implemented for collecting evidence and making judgements about whether competency has been achieved by the learner.
The assessments confirm whether an individual can perform to the standards expected in the workplace, as expressed in the relevant endorsed unit of competency.Assessment tools used include :
Potential career pathways for graduates of this qualification include roles such as a Team Leader. Previous graduates of this program have gone on to roles ranging from clerical and administrative positions through to professional and management roles across a wide variety of industries including Financial and Insurance Services, Health Care and Social Assistance and Retail Trade.

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) assesses your competency(s) that may have been acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning or direct work experience to determine if you meet the required skills and knowledge specified in a training package or VET accredited courses.
Credit transfer applies where students have completed units of study at another TAFE College or Registered Training Organisation, including IHNA, that meet the requirements of another qualification or the applicable training package. Credit will be granted in accordance with the Certification, Issuing and Recognition of Qualifications and Statements of Attainment. There is no fee to assess a Credit Transfer.
If you are eligible for RPL or CT you may be able to complete the course in a shorter duration with reduction in your total course fees*.
