Introduction

First Aid is the assistance that is given to anyone who suffers a sudden injury, allergy or illness, and includes informed primary interventions before medical assistance can be sought. In many countries it is a legal requirement that every institution or organisation should have a trained first aid officer on the premises at all times. This is a course that is suitable for everyone, and the skills learnt in this course will enable you to respond effectively in critical situations.

What Is HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid?

The HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid course is the NEW updated version of this course, and supersedes the earlier HLTAID003 Provide First Aid course from 2021.

On completing this unit, you will have the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to any casualty, following the first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
