Course Overview
The Certificate III in Individual Support provides individuals with the essential skills to support people in ageing and disability care. The course focuses on person-centred care, assisting clients with daily activities, and promoting independence and well-being. Graduates are equipped to work in roles such as Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker, providing high-quality care in residential, home, or community settings.
These individuals take responsibility for their own outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however, applicants should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as required by the industry.
IHNA Admission Requirements
- 18 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course.
- Successful completion of an Australian Year 10 qualification or equivalent.
- In addition to meeting the academic requirements applicants must demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels in an Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at exit Level 3 and participate in a pre-training review when enrolling into the course.
- Mature age students (22+) will also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the student to meet course requirements.

Upon completion of your offer letter and any other prerequisites, you will be issued a Confirmation of Enrolment/Admission.

Cooling off period
Once enrolled students have a 5 working days cooling off period (from course commencement date) to withdraw from the course and avail a full refund of the fees paid.
