IHNA offers an accredited program in HLT54121 – Diploma of Nursing that enables you to apply for registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse upon course completion. As an enrolled nurse, you will provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered nurse. You could work in a hospital or aged-care facility, in community care or any other health-care setting. Your job role will include assisting with health assessments, taking and recording patient parameters like temperature, pulse and blood pressure of patients. You will have to administer medications, and attend to the needs of patients, including educating them. Diploma of Nursing Course offers the skills to make you job-ready as an Enrolled Nurse.
This course is offered in the face-to-face delivery mode.
After successful completion of the program you may gain employment in a health or community care facility which may include a hospital, aged care, rehabilitation centre, clinic, GP services, etc. as an Enrolled Nurse. Graduates are eligible to apply to AHPRA for registration as Enrolled Nurse, provided they meet the eligibility criteria set by AHPRA at the time of registration.
