IHNA is committed to ensuring all our students and staff respect Aborginal and Torres Strait islander knowledge, culture and values.
HCI acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
IHNA offers a scholarship for Indigenous health workers to meet the costs of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the Certificate IV Indigenous Health Worker program in order to provide a pathway to the Diploma of Nursing and on to registration as an Enrolled Nurse in Australia.
IHNA is also a strong supporter and is actively engaged in activities during NAIDOC, a week-long series of events and activities that recognise Indigenous Australians and the important role and contribution they make to Australia.
